Things Are Changing

Today was the first day of Extended School Year.  This is a three week period of time where special education students come to school to work on skills to help them refresh learning and be ready for the beginning of the school year.
I have the 5th-9th graders.  Whew, what a large range between their abilities.  I have a child who can't even match items to sort, all the way to someone doing long division and reading at the 6th grade level.  Yikes!  Sounds like I have my work cut out for me.

Tonight Ben and Rachel got engaged and went to pick out rings.  It's a long, long story.  Long story short, they will get married September 7th of this year and travel to Austin, Texas together to begin working then going to college.

After a year, they will go to Cameroon, Africa to finish the last 3 years of college and work in an orphanage.
They will get a degree in Orphanage Management and then start their own orphanage.

Tomorrow Ben will lead a group to El Salvador for 26 days.  Please pray for them.  They will be staying in an orphanage and helping out any way they can.

Ben will get back Aug. 10th and we will all leave August 14th to go to Austin, Texas to get him settled in his new apartment and pick up his car.  Sarah will stay with him until he comes home September 6th.  Please pray for this mom as she tries to keep up with all of the changes.  Please pray also that this mom can take all of the stress that goes along with these many changes in our lives!

Blessing of the Day: Ben and Rachel ordered their rings.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
