Simple Woman's Daybook-Is there REALLY a simple woman in this day and age?

FOR TODAY... May 8, 2012
Outside my window... ~  It is dark but not late for once.  We've just gotten home from a couples Bible Study.
I am thinking...that there are only 21 days left of school, Hope. (Hee hee, hee)
I am thankful for... ~my relationship with God.  We heard today all of the assistants in the district will meet in a room with positions available and will go by seniority and they will pick where they want to work.  I'm praying that my assistant Patti remains with me.  It's in God's hands.......
I am wearing... ~Jeans, socks and a button down, long-sleeve shirt that's PINK.
I am remembering... ~when the kids would have rather been outside playing and cried when they had to come in.
I am going... ~to begin making samples for card ministry, Friday.
I am currently reading... ~The Fiddler by Beverly Lewis
I am hoping...~that with God's help I can remain unstressed during this difficult time at work.  Otherwise I'll be going through Excedrin!  You might want to take stock out in Excedrin!
On my mind...~My Stampin' Up order will be here Thursday.  It is NEW goodies that will be coming out in the catalog June 1st.
Noticing that...~I can hear laughing upstairs from the kids......love hearing the laughing and fooling around.  I know I'll miss that when they are gone.
Pondering these words...~ 1Peter 2:21  For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you.
In the kitchen...~Tim is making his lunch for tomorrow
Around the house...~things are quiet except for my quiet jazz music playing.
One of my favorite things ~messing around with Siri on my phone.  I've asked her to sing and tell me a joke.  Such funny responses.  When I asked her to sing she said in her mechanical voice,
Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do.
When I asked her to tell me a joke she said, "I can't I always forget the punch line!"  That in itself cracked me up! So I guess she CAN tell a joke.

From my picture journal...~ Here's a card I made for the color challenge on SCS.  I love the way the flowers came out.  I punched two vellum flowers out then put them through the cuttlebug with the dotted swiss folder.  Then I curled the bottom one down and the top one up.  Then I added more flowers and a brad.  I saw a gorgeous card here.  You can see the curled flowers easier on her card.  Check out her blog here.

Tonight I talked to a dear friend that I've not been able to connect with in months.  Almost brought tears to my eyes to hear her voice......I love that God has kept us connected even though we don't see each other as often as we used to.  We used to see each other at least once a week.
Thank you God that you've brought so many wonderful people into my life. I am constantly being blessed by who you put in my path.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessing of the Day~Talking to Val, and being reminded that God has work handled.  All I have to do is trust in HIM. He's got everything worked out for the BEST.   After all, He DOES know more than I do!
His decisions are far wiser than mine could ever be.  I'm so glad he doesn't always give me what I ask for!
He also doesn't give me what I deserve.  I'm truly blessed.
